I went to replenish flyers at a listing today and parked right where I had parked when I went to put the sign up about 20 days ago.  There was a bird flapping around the rocks obviously warning me to stay away from their babies when I put up the sign and today I was greeted by that same beautiful bird, acting as if he was injured and sputtering at me to stay away...which I did of course.  When I got back in my car, I scanned for the nest and this is what I found.  A killdeer nest that should have babies springing forth any day now!!!  If you come across one of these very verbal creatures acting as if their wing is injured, stay away and watch your step.  Click on the link below to learn more about the Killdeer and hear it's song!
